What are e-mail aliases? How are they different from e-mail forwarding?

An e-mail alias allows you to have a different name for an email account. For instance, you can have webmaster@yourdomain.com and info@yourdomain.com go to you@yourdomain.com without you having to check separate email accounts.

Email forwarding is similar to email alias, but an alias must point to a domain and POP email address that is in your control panel. Email forwarding can go to any email address in the internet.
